The PgMP Certification honors exceptional expertise, skills, and success in managing numerous, connected projects and the resources that support them when they are in line with company goals. Holders of the PgMP Certification oversee the accomplishment of a program, which groups several, linked projects to produce benefits that might not be realized if the projects were managed independently.
Project managers get expertise in managing several, connected projects and making decisions that further strategic and business objectives as they develop in their careers. PgMP Certification holders will benefit from a clear edge in employment and promotional opportunities as companies need program managers who can support the strategic objectives of the organization
There are many benefits that one can grab from the certification. Listing down the few of our participants mentioned:
The cost of obtaining a Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification Online or for a Classroom can vary depending on several factors, including whether or not you are a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the cost of study materials and exam preparation courses.
As of 2023, the current PMI membership fee is $129 per year for individuals. If you are a PMI member, the cost to apply for the PgMP certification exam is $800 USD. If you are not a PMI member, the cost to apply for the PgMP certification exam is $1,000 USD.
In addition to the exam fee, you may also need to consider the cost of study materials and exam preparation courses. These can range in cost depending on the provider and the type of material and can include books, online courses, in-person classes, and practice exams.
It is important to consider these costs as part of your overall budget for obtaining a PgMP certification. However, the benefits of achieving this certification can include increased earning potential, greater recognition within the field of program management, and expanded career opportunities.
PgMP Application is entirely different from PMP or some other PMI certifications. Other than program illustration, you need to address the 5 experience-based questions. These inquiries are significant. In the event that you have not tended to them appropriately, PMI will send your application back for improvement, or after 3 endeavors, PMI will dismiss them. Composing an application can require 7 to 14 days. PMI can take somewhere close to 6 – 10 weeks to confirm your application.
The PgMP Exam is a rigorous, four-hour exam consisting of 170 multiple-choice questions. The exam is designed to assess a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in the area of Program Management.
The exam is based on the PMI Program Management Standard and covers the five performance domains of program management: program strategy alignment, program benefits management, program stakeholder engagement, program governance, and program life cycle management.
The exam is computer-based and administered at Pearson VUE testing centers. Candidates have four hours to complete the exam, and there is no scheduled break during the exam.
Everything relies on how long you can commit consistently. On the off chance that you can devote 1-2 hours of valuable time, you can hope to be prepared in 2-3 months. Going past 4 months can be overkill. The best is to look for direction from the masters, particularly somebody who is PMI-REP, and somebody who has helped others accomplish their Program Management Certification.
The Program Management Course is conducted over the internet and the participants should have a proper internet connection to take away the learning.
