6. Maintaining The PMP Certification

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is valid for 3 years. In order to maintain the certification, candidates need to collect a total of 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs). Professional Development Units (PDUs) are one-hour blocks of time that you spend learning, teaching others, or volunteering. PMI segregates these 60 PDUs into 35 Educational PDUs and 25 Optional Giving Back PDUs.
