PMP certification exam eligibility criteria

The PMP certification is for project managers with approximately five years of experience. You must meet a few prerequisites set by PMI to qualify for the PMP certification course. The PMP certification requirements are as follows (you can meet either of the two sets of criteria):

• A Four-Year College / University Degree;
• 36 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years;
• 35 hours of PMP Training or CAPM® certification.

OR

• High School or Secondary School Diploma;
• 60 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years;
• 35 hours of PMP Training or CAPM® certification.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a GAC accredited program
• 24 months of experience leading projects within the past 10 years
• 35 hours of PMP training (GAC core project management course work is pre-approved to fulfill this requirement)
