My DASSM Certification Journey after PMP by Venkat Santosh Kumar

     2028 views

My name is Venkat Santosh Kumar Gumma, working as a Deputy Director leading the Program  Management vertical in an organization known as Kantar, which is a UK-based market research and data analytics company. I have a total of 20+ years of experience starting from a project  coordinator in Deloitte to moving to a program & project management role in Accenture to currently  leading the Program Management and becoming an Agile coach. I am grateful to ProThoughts which  contributed to elevating my career to the next level.

I am not new to ProThoughts, I did my PMP certification training and got PMP certified back in  Aug 2017. I had known Mr. Ashish Sadekar sir since then. I follow him on LinkedIn and attend his  webinars on program & project management, Agile, and other topics.

I started driving Agile projects in 2018 and did some foundation-level scrum certifications from  ScrumStudy and LinkedIn Learning platform. I was looking for a senior and an enterprise-level  comprehensive Agile certification covering all approaches like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc., with a focus  on actual delivery. When I saw Ashish sir’s article on LinkedIn about DASSM certification, I was curious to know more, and Siddhant provided me with all the required information, so I was clear and there  were no second thoughts. I immediately enrolled myself in the last weekend batch of April 2022, and  I was the first person in my batch to write and clear the DASSM certification exam on 14th May 2022.  I could do this so confidently and quickly due to the awesome training and support I received from  Mr. Ashish Sadekar and the ProThoughts team. After certification, I became an Agile Coach role in my  organization very recently and am now reporting to our Global Ops Transformation Director.

Regarding my training, Ashish sir’s virtual workshop was a breather and quick refresher for me on so many topics that are in use in my daily experience, but a new perspective gained on those as well,  such as team development, emotional intelligence, conflict management, etc. The course content was quite well structured, and I could get a good understanding of Enterprise Agility and Tactical Scaling.

The training was so well organized with enough breaks, it was not tiring as well though it was a  weekend; in fact, I had the most relaxed and enlightened weekend on April 23rd & 24th

Coming to the DASSM certification exam preparation, it was like a cakewalk for me after I went  through the course material, WoW book, and most importantly, the mock tests, the ProMock from  ProThoughts is a boon for test-takers like me. I was so confident after mocks that I knew I would easily  clear the exam and I could. Though it depends on the individual, I would recommend spending at least  a couple of weeks completing the course material and all the mock tests before writing the actual  certification examination.

I would again like to thank Mr. Ashish Sadekar and team ProThoughts for the guidance and support I  received during my DASSM certification journey and looking forward to their support for my future  PMI certifications as well.
